LEADS AND SECONDS
WIN FOR B. WALLER B. Waller (Kaikorai) won the Leads and Seconds’ Competition held by the Dunedin Bowling Centre, beating G. C. Rutherford (West Harbour) by 24—19 in the final, played at the St. Kilda green on Saturday. , , x „ , The tournament was taken to the postsection stage for Saturday’s play. After having been down 10—0 in the first few heads, West Harbour made a good recovery to bring the scores to 14—11 by the end of the fourteenth head, but Kaikorai gradually piled up the points in succeeding heads to be 19 —13 at the close of 17 ends. West Harbour reduced the lead by a point by the closing head. The detailed results in the post-section play are as follows: First Round.—A. McPherson (Caledonian) 12, D. Watt (Caversham) 10; G. C. Rutherford (West Harbour) 10, A. H. W. Millard (Balmacewen) 9; J. Taylor (Roslyn) 11, J. Steedman (Mornington) 10; I. French (West Harbour) 12, A. Walker (Mornington) 8. Second Round.—Rutherford 21, McPherson 12; Taylor 13, French 12; H. White (Logan Park) 13, H. Peacock (Caledonian) 10; R. J. Scott (Balmacewen) 19, J. ,W. Holmes'(St. Clair) 12; C. W.
