FINAL GALLOPS FOR WYNDHAM (Special) INVERCARGILL, Dec. 30. The final training of horses engaged at the Wyndham Racing Club’s meeting was held at Invercargill this morning. The weather conditions were a great improvement on recent weeks, and bright sunshine favoured the work. The course proper, with the poles 25 feet out, was open, and the track was in good order, but on the slow side. Horses who raced at the Dunedin meeting were restricted to pace work, but several useful sprint tasks were recorded, the efforts of Soft Light Absentee, Luminous Knight and Geisha Girl impressing. Solver went away from the mile and was joined by Pageantry at the seven, and Sunny Course also joined in at the six. Solver completed the mile in lmin 53sec, the last seven in lmin 37sec, the last six in lmin 22 2-ssec, and the last half In 55 3-ssec. .. . .
