GOOD TRACK EXPECTED (Special) INVERCARGILL, Dec. 30. With the improvement in weather conditions, prospects are much brighter for the Wyndham Racing Club’s New Year meeting, and if the Improvement continues,. the Wyndham track will be in first-class order. Aurora Australis and Salad are doubtful starters in the Wyndham Cup, Provision has been made for divisions in the Kiwi Trot, but only two scratchings are required to bring the field within the safety limit. Brackets are:— Kiwi Trot.—Decreed, Rendezvous and Spring Parade, Earl Dillon and Monastry Hill, First Despatch and Hall Ace, Glenhead and Prairie Jack, Paratrooper, Trustee and Jean Dale, Ladylike, South Wind and Locksley Hail, Novelda and Saga. Wyndham Cup.—Aurora Australis and Black Light. Victory Trot Handicap.—Ladylike and Locksley Hall, Rendezvous and Spring Parade, Senate and Oporo, Trustee, Grattan Wave and Francis Logan. Riding engagements include: W. F. Ellis on Absentee, Lumlnious Knight, Divorced, Black Light, Rhine Lord; B. S. Wilson on Kyron, Debater, Bright Lance: N. A. Crombie on Starlee, Wantwood; A. M. Ellis on Solver; B. J. Mears on Minority; C. F. Low on Maharajah. The following rehandicaps have been declared:— Kiwi Trot.—Ladylike, Trustee 48yds bhd. Victory Trot.—Lucky Meg 60yds bhd.
