BRABIN CUP GAMES OTAGO ME£TS WELLINGTON (P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH, Dec. 30. A further round of matches for the Brabin Cup was commenced to-day, when Auckland met Canterbury, and Otago played Wellington. Otago batted first against Wellington and made 217 (McGregor 58, Burrows 36, Berry 44; Judd three for 26, Nightingale two for 42), and Wellington has made 52 for four in slow, unenterprising batting (O’Connor 16, Kiely 14).. Batting first against Canterbury, Auckland made 114 (Wells 32, Farman 19, Fowler 19; Couper five for 40), and Canterbury replied with 101 (Coull 33, Knapp 46; Wallace six for 26, Sullivan four for 17). Auckland, in the second innings, has made two for the loss of one wicket. Both games will be continued tomorrow.
