Will spend Sunday night in f Dunedin on their way south. They will stay at Wain’s Hotel. Ministerial The Minister of Defence, Mr Jones, arrived in Dunedin by air yesterday afternoon. He will return north at the beginning of next week. Mr W. W. Callender left by the express yesterday on his way to Auckland, where he is to take over his new position as manager of the Alliance Insurance Company. , Reference to the death of Mr W. R. Brown, one of the first vice-presidents of Heritage (Otago), was made at the annual meeting of that body last night. A motion of sympathy with his relatives was carried in silence.
