TRAVEL CLUB

CHRISTMAS PARTY Bowls of flowers decorating the small tables and greenery adorning the stage made an attractive setting for the Dunedin Travel Club’s Christmas party, which was held in the Concert Chamber on Tuesday night. Abour 500 guests were welcomed by Mrs Richard Hudson. Mrs A. R. Irvine, Mrs R. Howorth, and Mrs C. Hoskin sang trios, duets, and solos, accompanied by Mrs M. Evans. “ Granny’s a Hundred,” a one-act comedy, was produced ,by Harriet Hamer, those taking part being Roberta White, Ngata Busweil, Rita Kerr, Trixie Stevenson, Sylvia Laurence, and Harriet Hamer. Mrs Gordon won the Musical Competition and Mrs John McPherson, jun., won the prize for the lucky seat. After supper dancing was enjoyed.
