Wednesday, October 16 (Before Mr H. W. Bundle, S.M.) Traffic Offences James Francis Stanford Cruden was fined £5 for driving an unlicensed vehicle. For being an unlicensed driver he was fined ss, and for operating a vehicle without a warrant of fitness he was fined 10s and costs (10s). ’ , . Hugh Vincent Flack was fined 5s and costs (10s) for driving without a licence and 10s and costs (10s) for operating a vehicle without a warrant of fitness. John Patrick Schriifer was fined £1 and costs (10s) for driving without due care and attention. Norman James West, an unlicensed motor driver was fined 5s and costs (10s). On a similar charge, Thomas Berryman Baird was also fined 5s and costs (10s). For exceeding a speed of 30 miles an hour in a restricted area. William McLean Ballantyne was fined £5. On a similar charge Richard Lindsay Cotton was fitjed £2 10s and costs (10s). For operating an unlicensed vehicle, Robert Heasley was fined 10s and costs (10s). ' _ „ For driving without a license, George Rendall Wards was fined 5s and costs (10s). Edgar Samuel Smellie was similarly charged and fined a like amount. For operating vehicles not in possession of warrants of fitness, fines were imposed as follows: —John James Henderson, 10s and costs (10s): Joseph Henry Lawrence) 15s and costs (10s); Percy Mclver, 10s and costs (10s); Frank Simpson, 10s and costs (10s); William James Stewart, costs only (12s). Chimney Fires. On charges of permitting chimneys in their respective residences to catch, fire, fines of 10s and costs (10s) were imposed on Francis John Fay, Morris Kenneth Glover, William Dennis Heenan, Cyril Thomas Jeffs, John McLaren, and Ivan Johnstone Peat. Leonard Nelson Reeves was ordered to pay costs only (10s).
