CHRISTCHURCH Following are the Customs returns for Christchurch for August:—

WELLINGTON Customs collections in Wellington during August totalled £1,097,402, an increase of £230,551 on the revenue obtained in August, 1945 The greatest individual increase was in sales tax. the total for which was £577.443 compared with £404.647 in August. 1945.
