ARCHERY CLUB

ANNUAL MEETING

At the annual meeting of the Dunedin Archery Club there was a good attendance. The retiring president, Mr Sullivan, in moving the adoption of the annual report and balance sheet, commented upon the club’s sound financial position and congratulated those members who had carried on through the difficult war years. He welcomed back the members who. had returned from service overseas, and said that he felt sure that, with this additional strength, the club would establish new records in membership and shooting standards It was decided to hold the opening day for the new season on September 7, on the club grounds, and the club championships in mid-February. The election of office-bearers resulted as follows: —Patron, Mr Arthur Barnett; vice-patron. Mr W. D. Anderson; hon. life member, Mr N. J. Ryan; president, Mr E. S. Davis; vice-presidents—Messrs E. Strang, H. Butch, and H. Brooks; secre-tary-treasurer, Miss G. Norris; assistant secretary-treasurer. Mr D. N. Ryan; field captain, Mr H. M. Sullivan; deputy field captain, Mr H. Butel; lady paramount, Miss S. Ryan; committee—Messrs H. Miles, G. Maher, T. Allen, F. Walker, and F. Helean.
