WATERSIDERS PROTEST

DOUBLE WOOL DUMPS (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 27. A protest by Wellington waterside workers against lifting on the' ship Hoperange heavy double dumps of wool has been referred to the Waterfront Control Commission. The commission will call a conference of all parties concerned to discuss doubledumping. Meanwhile the watersiders will continue to lilt the lighter dumps. The Hoperange is loading for New York and Boston Loading began on the ship last week, and the matter came to a head when the watersiders were faced with the task of lifting the dumps on to tiers in the hold.
