VISIT BY ARIES

FLIGHT OVER CITY AIRCRAFT’S PROGRAMME (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 27. The R.A.F. Lancaster Aries, will remain at Ohakea until Thursday, when it will be flown to Whenuapai, passing over about a dozen towns, including Mar ton, Wanganui, Hawera, Huntly and Hamilton. The Aries will leave Whenuapai on September 2 for Wigram, flying over as many centres as possible, including Blenheim and Kaikoura. On the following day she will fly over Dunedin, Invercargill and other centres. On September 4 the aircraft is expected to leave for Fiji, where lectures and demonstrations are to be given, and on September 6 will be flown to Sydney. To-night the members of the crew and the various officials were the guests of the Minister of Defence, Mr Jones, at a reception.
