DUNEDIN CENOTAPH
RE-DEDICATION URGED
“We are all of one mind that the Cenotaph at Dunedin should be rededicated by the placing of a commemoration plaque for the men and women of all the services who fell in the 1939-45 war on the opposite side of the Cenotaph, to that commemorating the fallen of the Great War,” said the secretaryf. of the Dunedin Returned Services’ Association, Mr O. L. Ferens, when commenting on the substitution of Remembrance Day for Armistice Day yesterday. “It has also been unanimously agreed that whatever is done in the way of commemoration should be of a utilitarian nature.” Views of 2nd N.Z.E.F. Association 1 The secretary of the 2nd N.Z.E.F. Association, Mr P. Innes, said that his association was in. favour of the new system of commemoration.
