TROTTING OWNERS

FIRST ANNUAL REPORT The first annual report of the North Otago Trotting Owners, Trainers, and Breeders’ Association, Incorporated, stated that the association was affiliated to the New Zealand Association, to which it was indebted for keeping members in touch with matters of interest. Members had shown a keen interest in the welfare of the association, and during the summer months a working bee was arranged to mow the old grass track and erect distance pegs. That work had been greatly appreciated by local trainers, and thanks were due for their assistance to the local clubs and Mr D. Mclntyre. During the year a matinee meeting was held in conjunction with the R.S.A. queen carnival, when trainers were given the opportunity to , work their horses under race conditions. The membership of the association was 47, and it was hoped that the number would be increased.
