The Dunedin-owned trotter, Sure Peg (Quite Sure—Guy Parrish mare), is credited with having speed above the average. Now a five-year-old, she should be balanced in her gait, and her appearance in the Trotting Stakes on the second day of the Metropolitan meeting will be awaited with interest. A Good Prospect Knave of Diamonds looks a good prospect for one or more of the rich handidlcaps this season. His best performance last season was at the Metropolitan meeting in April, when he won the J. H Williams Handicap in 4min 22 l-ssec from Shadow Maid and Burt Scott. Dunmore.
An outstanding performer in his class last season was Dunmore, who built up the fine record of six wins and three piacings in 13 races. The U. Scott gelding is at home on any kind of going, and ai Addington in April won in 4mln 23 l-ssee from a 4min 36sec mark after beginning slowly. •-
