OTAGO HUNT
MEET AT SEA VIEW The weekly run of the Otago Hunt was held on Saturday at Seaview over the properties of Mrs C. Smaill, Messrs G. Murdoch, R. Pulham and T. Green. Although the weather was unpleasant there was a good turn-out of followers, but there were fewer spectators than usual. A feature of Interest was the fact that three generations of the Hastle family rode to the meet.
At the conclusion of the hunt a jumping competttion for novice riders was held over three fences, the judge being Mr K. Russell. The lesult was:—G. Trainor 1, Miss G. Gorton 2, Miss M. Hall and D. Hunter (equal) 3. The acting master, Mr K. Russell, thanked the owners of the properties over which the run was held. The last hunt of the season will be held next Saturday at,North Taieri over the point-to-point steeplechase course.
