A VERA LYNN ATTRACTION “We’ll Meet Again,” iq which Vera Lynn makes her film debut, Is the main attraction in the new programme at the St. James Theatre. The story casts Vera Lynn in a characer and setting not unlike those of her real life. In the part of a music-hall dancer who achieves fame as a radio singer, she gives an attractive performance, which is all the more noteworthy for its complete unaffectedness. During the course of the picture Miss Lynn sings several catchy melodies in that unusual voice which won her such widespread fame as a broadcasting personality; in this she is assisted by Geraldo and his orchestra. Supporting Miss Lynn is an aptly chosen cast, which includes Patricia Roc, Ronald Ward and Donald Gray, and Betty Jardine. The supporting picture is “ 1001 Nights,” starring Cornel Wilde and Evelyn Keyes. Box plans are at the theatre, the D.I.C. and Jacobs s.
