A DIVERTING COMEDY With Fred Mac Murray and Leslie Fenton in the leading roles, one of the most diverting comedies to be shown in Dunedin for many a day. “ Pardon My Past, was screened at the Empire Theatre yesterday. The picture gives Mac Murray the opportunity to display his ability as a comedian to the fullest extent. Mistaken for his twin brother, a rich wastrel about whom Fred knows nothing, one complication piles upon another in rapid and hilarious profusion. A gangster ((Ak im Tamiroff) abducts him to regain a 12.000dollar unpaid bet. Fred and his pal (William Dimarest) are relieved of their 3000 dollars' savings designed for the purchase of a mink farm in Wisconsin. There is a merry mix-up until Fred clears up the whole situation and goes off to his mink farm with Marguerite Chapman, the girl with whom he has fallen in love. Included in the supporting cast are Marguerite Chapman Akim Tamiroff, William Demarest, Rita Johnson, Harry Davenport, and Douglas Dumbrllle. Box plans are at the theatre and the D.I.C.
