WRESTLING

A DRAWN CONTEST (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 8. Fresh zest was given to the wrestling season in Wellington to-night when George Pencheff (Australia) drew with Jack Clayboume, the negro champion. In the fastest bout for some time, each gained one fall. Excellent wrestling was mixed with high-class showmanship. Pencheff early secured a fall with a dropkick followed by a body press. It was a fall secured by the negro, however, which brought down the house—a rolling step-over toehold in which .Pencheff was unmercifully bundled round the ring till he became an easy victim for a pin.
