TOURNAMENT IN CANADA VINES EQUALS COURSE RECORD (Rec 11 p.m.) WINNIPEG, Aug. 8. In the first round of the Canadian professional 10,000-dollar Open Golf Championship Ellsworth Vines returned seven under the par 65 equalling the course record. Wood, Wisnock. Thomson and Fazio returned 69. Haas Furgol 70, and Ferrier, Metz, Snead, Little, Leonard and Wood 71.
