SPORTS BODIES
MEETING OF ASSOCIATION Mr W. M Uttley presided at a meeting of the North Otago Sports Bodies’ Association on Wednesday night, and also present were—Messrs A. Gilbertson, E. H. Coker, R. B. Meek, R. M. Waller and the secretary (Mr W. R. Laney). It was stated that there had been no objections lodged by any of the sports clubs to whom copies of the long-range plan for the sports areas in Oamaru had been sent, ana, in view of the fact that a representative from the Internal Affairs Department was visiting Oamaru over the week-end, it was decided to submit the plan to the Oamaru Borough Council immediately. September 16 was set down as the date for the combined sports bodies' ball, and it was decided to form a committee consisting of the association delegates and a representative from the various affiliated clubs.
