NOT A NEW VENTURE

STATEMENT BY UNION AIRWAYS (P.A.) WELLINGTON, July 26. “The announcement by the Minister of Railways, Mr R. Semple, that an interisland air freight service will be commenced from Monday does not represent a new venture, as Union Airways has provided a service for the carriage of freight by air during the past 10 years,’’ says a statement issued to-day by Union Airways. It is understood that this service will be retained and expanded by the National Airways Corporation when it commences operations.
