MEETING AT RICCARTON ARCTIC DAWN IN FAVOUR (0.R.) CHRISTCHURCH, July ?6. The weather promises to be fine, nnd the going at Riccarton will be in good winter order for the Christchurch Hunt meeting to-morrow. The track is fairly firm, but not fast. The going on the steeplechase course will be a bit firmer than on the course proper. Judged by the number of horses that worked on the course to-day there is ample material to supply good fields for the racing that is to take place at Riccarton during the National meeting. In the event of Arabian Night not starting in the Homeby Steeplechase, Roman Son will grow in favour. Frances, Prize Ring, and Burnbrae have been scratched for their engagements at the meeting.
