MEETING OF COMMITTEE A meeting of the committee of the Forbury Park Trotting Club was held last night, and was attended by Messrs B. S. Irwin (president), C. R. Hadfield, H. Archbold, W. H. Adamson, F. M. Anderson, A. Ferguson, D. C. Jolly, R. K. Aitcheson and J. A. MacDonald-
The resignation of Mr A. H. Todd as a steward of the club was accepted with regret. An application was received from the Caversham Ratepayers and Householders’ Association for the use of Forbury Park on a Saturday in November for the purpose of running a gymkhana. —It was decided to refer the association to the Otago A. and P. Society, as Forbury Park is undergoing reconstruction.
An application by J. W. McLennan, jun., for a professional trainer’s licence, which was held over from the preceding meeting, was not approved, but it was decided to recommend for approval his application for a rider’s and driver’s licence.
An application by A. H. Brown for an amateur rider’s and driver’s licence was recommended for approval. A. J. Osmond’s application for an amateur trainer’s, rider’s and driver’s licence was also recommended for approval. Accounts amounting to £974 14s 2d were passed for payment, and the treasurer, Mr Archbold, submitted an estimated profit and loss account for the year.
