OAMARU PLUNKET SOCIETY
MONTHLY MEETING
Mrs W. R, Williams presided at the monthly meeting of the Oamaru branch of the Plunket Society. A vote of tnanks was passed to the Oamaru Drama Club for the donation of £34, the proceeds from the comedy " Love in a Mist.” The following reports were received from the town and country nurses:—New cases, town 6, country 12; breast-fed, town 6, country 6, partially, country 6; babies under supervision, 249; visits to homes, town 126, country 185; visits to rooms, 249. The work among pre-school children was increasing steadily. Garments for babies were badly* needed in the society's cupnoard. The pram cot and travelling cot for hire were appreciated. A meeting of country delegates is still to be arranged to consider the new quotas from headquarters and to form new branch committees. This meeting will be held on Tuesday.
