APPOINTMENT IN AUSTRALIA (Rec 7 p.m.) CANBERRA, July 6. The millionaire shipbuilder and banker, Mr Robert Butler of St. Paul, Minnesota, will be appointed the hrst United States Ambassador to Australia The official announcement of the appointment will be made soon after the formalities are complete. The Minister of the Navy, Mr Makin, will leave here by sea early in August to become the Australian Ambassador at Washington.
