THE U.N.R.R.A. COUNCIL PERMISSION GRANTED (Rec. 10 p.m.) NEW YORK, July b. Mr Lie received an official communique from the Swiss Government denying an American radio report that Switzerland would not allow the United Nations Security Council or the Military Staff Committee to hold meetings in Geneva. The Swiss Consul-general in New York, Mr F. Gygax, who presented the communique, said that the United Nations r ould draw the conclusion that the Swiss Government would not object to meetings in Switzerland of any United Nations organisation. Mr Lie announced that he was glad to agree to the suggestion by Mr La Guardia that • the fifth session of the U N R.R.A. Council on August 2 should be held in the Palace of the League of Nations at Geneva, which the United Nations would take over on August 1
