MOTOR CYCLIST KILLED (P.A.). GISBORNE, Mar. 28. A motor cyclist was killed instantly at 5.25 a.m. to-day when his machine struck the rear right side of a lorry. which had just turned out of a gateway. The victim was Murray Edward , Ashton, aged 22. a butcher’s shop hand, of Gisborne. Both the motor cycle and the truck were fully lighted. Ashton travelling to his work at the Kaiti freezing works when the accident occurred. ’

INJURIES TO HAND

Bruce. Scott, aged 22, of Factory road, Mosgiel, was admitted to' the Public Hospital at 10 a.m. yesterday with a lacerated left thumb. He received the injury while working in a butcher’s shop.
