CURRENT PROGRAMMES GRAND THEATRE One of the gayest comedies of the year, " Life with Blondie,” portraying the latest sfcreen adventure of the Bumsteads, the popular comic “ movie ” family, was introduced at the Grand Theatre yesterday. The picture is a combination of laughs, hilarious situations, and absurd escapades, with Penny Singleton, Arthur Lake, Larry Simms, Marjorie Kent, add Jonathan Hale in the principal roles. In the supporting film a thrilling story is unfolded of a group of prisoners on a prison ship during its voyage as a decoy for American submarines. It is called “ Prison Ship,' and features Nina Foch, Robert Lowery, Richard Loo, and others.
