TWO MEN CHARGED PART OF MONEY RECOVERED (P.A.) PALMERSTON N., Mar. 27. A sequel to the sensational affair at Bulls on Monday occurred at the courthouse this morning, the courtroom holding the largest attendance of the general public for years. Raymond Edward Mclntosh, a garage attendant, aged 23, of Palmerston North, and William Laurence Burke, a labourer, aged 19, also of Palmerston North, who appeared before two justices, were charged that on March 25, at Bulls, being armed with weapons of offence (a Sten gun and two revolvers), they robbed Kenneth Hubert Allen of the sum of £2128 in money. Detective Sergeant Power asked for a remand for a week in each case, and this was granted. Mclntosh was represented by Mr A. M. Ongley. Burke was not represented by counsel. The Mr Allen referred to in the charge is the teller at the Bank of New Zealand branch at Bulls. The sum of £650 was dug up from a household garden in the city last night by the police. It was enclosed in a jam jar
