THE TWO PRINCESSES

PUBLIC ENGAGEMENTS (Rec. 7 p.m.) LONDON, Mar. 27. Princess Margaret yesterday fulfilled her first public engagement when she visited the Junior Clubs at St. Pancras and Bethnal Green, where she watched children at play. Mounted police yesterday afternoon had to clear a way for Princess Elizabeth’s car in Oxford street when she attended an exhibition in aid of a fund to establish a charter college as a United Nations war memorial. Cheering crowds, mainly women, brought the traffic to a standstill until mounted police were able to clear a nath for the royal car.
