FARMERS’ UNION
END OF ACTIVE EXISTENCE STATEMENT CORRECTED (P.A.) AUCKLAND, Feb. 14. A statement from Wellington that the New Zealand Farmers’ Union was expected to complete its active existence within two months was denied by Mr A. C. A. Sexton, vice-president of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union in the Auckland province. “The, statement that the New Zealand Farmers’ Union expected to complete its active existence calls for correction,” said Mr Sexton. “ The union will certainly not cease, and, in fact a motion for winding up was withdrawn at the last Dominion conference. The Auckland section of the union, which comprises nearly half the membership for the Dominion, is actively carrying on its business, ana there is not the slightest chance of either the Auckland or the New Zealand Union going out of existence.”
