MEDICO-POLITICS
DISCUSSION BY B.M.A. (P.A.) AUCKLAND, Feb. 14. The press was excluded when the members of the British Medical Association met this morning for what was described on the programme as a “ Medico-political Meeting.” The chairman, Dr E. H. M. Luke, had finished his introductory remarks when a member approached one of the doctors on the platform and drew his attention to the fact that newspaper reporters were present. Dr Luke immediately apologised to the reporters for having to ask them to withdraw. He also asked that his introductory remarks be not reported. No vote was put to the meeting, and the reporters withdrew. Those listed to'speak on the subject of “The Future of Medical Practice in New Zealand ” were Drs A. E. Park, J. P. S. Jamieson, J. O. Mercer W. J P. Hutchison, Professor J. B. Dawson, and Mr K. MacCormick. This afternoon some of the delegates will inspect the Middlemore Hospital; others are playing tennis, golf, and bowls. The annual dinner will be held tonight. _
