RELIEF FOR SUFFERERS INHALATION OF PENICILLIN LONDON, Jan. 6. “ The inhalation of penicillin by sufferers from chronic bronchitis is among the several new uses for the drug,’ said Dr Charles H. Smith, of St. Mary’s "Hospital penicillin unit, addressing women health officers. Sprayed on a sore throat, penicillin would cure infection within 24 hours. Penicillin had no curative value for the common cold, but would stop a running nose.
