BRITISH DESTROYER
VISIT TO AUCKLAND FOR REFIT (PA.) AUCKLAND, Jan. 3. Another large British destroyer is due at Auckland shortly. She is H-.M.S. Amethyst, the tenth ship in the Royal Navy to have borne this name, and she is expected in about a fortnight’s time for a refit at the Devonport dockyard. It is also expected that the destroyer Barfleur, which has been refitting at Devonport since early in December, will leave Auckland about the end of this month.
