NEW ZEALANDERS IN AUSTRALIA BERTHS ON ATHLONE CASTLE MELBOURNE. Jan. 3. The Athlone Castle will take 195 civilians to New Zealand from Melbourne on January 5 or 6. The civilians will include many from New South Wales who have waited more than 12 months for a passage to New Zealand. The ship will berth in Melbourne today with more than 2000 R.A.A.F. personnel from overseas. The Union Steam Ship Company and the Railways Department have made special arrangements to transport New South Wales passengers to Melbourne by Saturday morning.
