ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
SUDDEN DEATH IN STREET
Edward Thopias Hickman, a married man, aged between 60 and 70 years, of 40 Tawa street, Wanganui, died in the street last night. He had been staying with friends in Dunedin. It is not known whether an inquest will be necessary.
ELDERLY MAN’S DEATH
John Dryden a married man. aged 71 yeaVs, of 2 Morrison street, Mosgiel, collapsed and died on the incoming train from Mosgiel early last evening.
A FRACTURED LEG
As the result of a fall at Liberton, William McCrone. aged 60, residing at 29 Glasgow street, was admitted to the Dunedin Hospital at 2.15 p.m. yesterday, with a fractured leg.
INJURIES TO FACE
June Callaway, aged 18 months, whose parents reside at 77 Market street. St. Kilda. was admitted to the Public Hospital yesterday suffering from injuries to the face received when she tripped and fell on a broken bottle.
