INDIANS IN MALAYA DEFENCE ARRANGEMENTS NEW DELHI. Dec. 13. It is officially announced that the Government is sending a panel of com petent Indian lawyers to defend the Indians who are being detained in Malaya on charges of war crimes. The Associated Press says the Malayan Military Administration originally arrested 114 Indians, of whom 67 are still in custody. Four are charged with having been Japanese informers, and 15 with committing acts of cruelty. The remainder are held on charges of collaboration with and active membership of the Indian Independence League and the Indian National Army.
