POPULATION OF OCCUPIED ZONES (Rec. 7 p.m.) LONDON, Dec. 14. According to a provisional census there are 65,286,000 Germans in the four occupied zones in Germany distributed thus: —British, 22,043,801; Russian. 19,693,617; United States, 17,156,000; French, 6,392,497. Reuter’s correspondent says when the Nazis took power there were 65,218,000 inhabitants in Germany. At the outbreak of war the Greater Reich, including the Sudetenland and Austria, numbered 79,576,758.
