Saturday, December 15 (Before Mr J. R. Bartholomew. S.M.) Shoplifting Charges May Mahs. an elderly woman, was charged on three counts of shoplifting involving a sum of £24 11s. The accused -was remanded until next Friday. —Detective Sergeant n. J. Le Sueur said that further charges would be preferred against the accused.—Bail war allowed at £SO, with one surety <s6 £SO. Drunkenness On a charge of drunkenness Henry Shirley Evans, a statutory first offender, was fined £l, in default 48 hours’ imprisonment " .
