WOMEN ENTERTAINED
ST. KILDA PATRIOTIC WORKERS A social function presided over by the Mayoress of St. Kilda (Mrs N. D. Anderson) was held in the Coronation Hall last night in honour of the women of the borough who had taken part in war and patriotic work. There was a large attendance, and among those present were the Mayor of St. Kilda (Mr N. D. Anderson) and the Mayor of Dunedin (Mr D. C. Cameron).
An excellent vocal and musical programme had been organised by Mrs Douglas Barton, who was also the accompanist. The programme was as follows:—Songs. Mrs P. Woodhouse, Mrs H. Howison; piano solos, Mrs Aubrey Muir; humorous sketch, Mrs P. Bardsley. The following participated in a one-act comedy:—Mesdames Bardsley, Wendelken, W. Daglish, A. Symonds, J. W. Holmes. A. Triggs, and Irvine.
