ORPHANS’ CLUB

VISITORS ENTERTAINED A special entertainment was conducted by the Dunedin Orphans’ Club in Victoria Hall on Saturday night, members of the Invercargill Orphans Club being the guests. The president of the Invercargill club (Brother Alfred Walmsley) was in the chair, and associated with him was Bro. N. R. Mclsaac, the president of the Dunedin club. An excellent programme of items was provided by the visitors, assisted by 1 the Dunedin Orphans orchestra, under the leadership of Bro. J Clark. Those who contributed items were Bros. T. McFarlane, L. Stevenson, G. McKinlay, R. Hewton, A. G. Mason (songs) Hewton and McKinlay (duets), A. H. J. Wyatt (humorous monologue), G. Martin (violin solos), and B P. Mansfield (reminiscences). Bro. C. R. Spackman played the pianoforte accompaniments.
