OTAGO AND TIMARU HIGH SCHOOLS’ MATCH (PA.) TIMARU, Mar. 22. The annual cricket match between the Timaru and Otago Boys’ High Schools was commenced to-day. Batting first, Timaru made 180 (Hind 41, R. Smith 36, Betty 25). Bowling for Otago Boys’ High School, D. Gibson took three wickets for 32 runs, B. Duncan three for 34, and R. Tait two for 42. Otago replied with 299 (D. St. John 77, C. Graham 47, W. Gough 37, A. Fulton 34, D. Gibson 31). Bowling for Timaru, Hind took four wickets for 71, Betty two for 37, and R. Smith two for 20. Timaru in its second innings had scored 53 for two wickets ■when stumps were drawn.
