GROCERS’ BALANCE SHEETS

AUCKLAND STATEMENT INCORRECT

“ The statement attributed to Mr I. R. Wilson, president of the Auckland Master Grocers’ Association, that the president of the federation could not get one balance sheet from grocers throughout New Zealand to support his contention for a higher mark-up of prices, is incorrect,” said the secretary of the Otago Master Grocers’ Association in a statement yesterday. “At no time has any request been received by the Otago Association for balance sheets of members nor would, the president of the federation make such a presumptuous request.”
