THE NEW WAGES RATE

Sir,—The fact that women workers are to receive no increase in wages appears grossly unfair to me. The position appears to be that although we receive no increase we will be expected to bear our share of the burden of the predicted rise In the cost of living. I have no doubt that our employers have been very glad of, our services, especially in the last six years when we stepped in and took the places of our men who went to war, and now it appears that we are to be victimised because we do not go on strike or intimidate our employers with the strength of our trade unions. Where is this inequality going to end?—l am, etc., Woman Worker, Oamaru, March 21.
