FOWL HOUSES
The countv clerk (Mr R. K. Gardiner) reported to the Waitaki County Council yesterday that an application for a permit to build a fowlhouse had been forwarded to the building controller, who had replied that owing to the policy of the Department of Agriculture in discouraging the expansion of flocks on account of the shortage of poultry feed, he could not give a permit for the building of the fowlhouse.
