ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
TRUCK DRIVER INJURED
Vernon McClymont, aged 42, who resides at 496 Main South road, was admitted to the Hospital yesterday suffering from injuries to the face received when he lost control of the truck he was driving in City road and collided with a garage door.
INJURIES TO HEAD
Clifford Irvine, aged 19, whose home is at Oamaru, was admitted to the Dunedin Hospital at 10.45 p.m. yesterday suffering from head injuries received when he fell at McLeod Bros.’ factory.
BOY FATALLY SHOT
(P.A.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Mar. 19. William Edgar Hastie, aged 14, a son of Mr and Mrs W. T. Hastie, of Inglewood, died in the New Plymouth Hospital to-day as the result of injuries received when a .22 repeater rifle carried by his brother Norman, aged 15, was discharged. The incident occurred on a farm near Inglewood. The elder boy was unloading the rifle before giving it back to the owner.
