OAMARU MEETING LANCE WING WINS CUP The Oamaru Jockey Club’s autumn meeting was held on Saturday in fine weather and in spite of the lack of transport facilities the attendance could be considered quite satisfactory. The track was in good „rder and the card provided some interesting racing. Lance Wing was made a strong favourite for the Oamaru Cup and he won well at the finish, but had to be kept busy to stall off Good Cast and The Raker. Good Cast lost some ground at the home turn and came on again to cut The Raker out of second place. Lord Nuffield drew up towards the finish to be close to The Raker. Bridgehead faded at the home turn after being prominent at that stage. The card was concluded well up to time.
