A STATE OF SIEGE
GERMAN-OCCUPIED ITALY SABOTAGE AND STRIKES (Rec. 7 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 6. Continuous sabotage has almost wiped out the production of the Fiat and Mirafiri factories in German-occu-pied Italy, says the Rome radio, quoting an official communique. Strikes have broken out in Lombardy as a protest against the food shortage. The Germans and the Fascists have proclaimed a state of siege.
