SHAKESPEARE’S “HAMLET”
NGAIO MARSH’S PRODUCTION
At His Majesty’s Theatre on Saturday afternoon Miss Ngaio Marsh’s company, under the direction of Mr D. D. O Connor, will stage the modern-dress produc-tion-of "Hamlet,” which proved so much to the taste of theatregoers in Christchurch that it has' been twice revived in that city during, the last 12’months. The players' are all members of the Canterbury University College Drama Society, and the. all-important role' of Hamlet is taken, by Mr Jack Henderson, a young actor whose dramatic intensity, excellent diction and forceful personality should carry- him a long way towards a successful stage career. Mr "Henderson also plays lago in/ the second, production, " Othello,”- in which the title role is taken by Mr Paul Molineaux. “ Hamlet ” will be played for four nights..and one matinee; •’ Othello " for three nights , and one matinee.
