SCHOOL CRICKET

WIN FOR CHRISTS COLLEGE OTAGO B.H.S. DEFEATED (Special) CHRISTCHURCH, Dec. 12. Christ’s College won the annual cricket match against Otago Boys’ High School by 131 runs. When stumps were drawn yesterday Otago Boys’ High School had lost four wickets for 23 runs in reply to the Christ’s College total of 148. Conditions again favoured the fast bowlers, although most of the wickets fell to slow and medium balls. The Otago batsmen appeared to ’oe worried by the hard pitch. Otago’s innings continued with D. S. St. John and R. V. J. Windsor, and after fairly bright play by both batsmen they were dismissed when each had made 16 runs. C. Graham placed his shots well and succeeded in making 23 before he was bowled. The innings closed for 72 runs. Christ’s College declared with five wickets down for 151 runs in its second innings, and Otago was disposed of for 96 runs. The scores were as follows: — CHRIST’S COLLEGE First Innings E. R.
